They can explore the National Museum of Australia in Acton which showcases items and artworks related to the history and heritage of the whole nation.

History buffs can also head out to the St.

John the Baptist Church in Reid, which is considered the oldest church in the city, built in the first half of the 19th century.

Visitors can also take strolls at the churchyard, where the city’s original cemetery is located, and look at the headstones of several prominent personalities in the city’s history.

Visitors should also take the time to stop by the Australian War Memorial, which commemorates the country’s military history.

Also worth exploring is the military museum in the area, as well as the delightful Sculpture Garden.

The road leading to the memorial is known as the ANZAC Parade, a tree-lined avenue that provides setting for ceremonies and parade during the ANZAC Day.

After paying their respects to military heroes in the past, the Australian National Botanic Gardens beckons back in the suburb of Acton.
